Couple Counselling Training

Intro

Due to the dramatically increasing demand, CCTS counselling team is planning to expand its work with couples. We have managed to negotiate with Stephen and Lucia Hall, two very experienced counsellors and trainers, to provide 6 days of couple counselling training for us, starting in Autumn 2009. They will teach a very practical, Solution – Focussed model, which we believe suits couple counselling work.

Requirements

Our desire is to expand this training opportunity to others, and so we have negotiated with Stephen and Lucia that anyone who has successfully completed a Certificate or Diploma course with CCTS can join the training.

Certificate students however will need three years experience with either individuals or couples as well as their certificate qualification.

Course Content

The training will count as 6 days of CPD post qualifying training, and equip anyone who has a heart for working with couples within a secular or church setting.

This course will give you:

A solution based approach to working with couples
Opportunity to review techniques that do and don’t work
An ability to inspire hope to couples
An ability to help couples manage infidelity and other issues
An ability to help couples manage conflict

Programme, Dates, Cost & Venue

Venue:	Central Hall, St Mary Street, Southampton, SO14 1NF
Time:	Fridays 7.00pm – 10.00pm and Saturday 9.30am – 5.30pm
Dates:	Friday 20th & Saturday 21st November 2009 Friday 11th & Saturday 12th December 2009 Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd January 2010 Friday 26th & Saturday 27th February 2010 Trainers: Stephen & Lucia Hall
Costs:	£490 for the complete 6 day course – early bird rate if booked before 27th October 2009. £550 if booked after 27th October 2009 - Cheques made payable to 'New Community Network' The charge includes tuition and notes plus refreshments – lunch is not included. There will be 3 x 4hour group supervision sessions once the 6 days are completed and once students start to practice. An additional charge of £25 per student per 4 hour session will be made. These training days are provided by Central Counselling & Training Service whose dual purpose is: to provide counselling, group work and accredited Christian counselling courses guided by values, aims and methods consistent with biblical teaching.
